On September 1, 2024, Horizon Robotics announced that its Journey 6M chip has entered mass production and deployment in vehicles. As of the end of August 2026, the Journey 6M has been adopted by more than 20 automakers and integrated into over 70 mass-produced vehicle models available on the market. Among these, seven automotive brands have leveraged the chip to implement a standardized urban advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) platform across their vehicle lineups. The Journey 6M delivers 128 TOPS of computing power and supports an end-to-end, single-segment urban ADAS solution capable of handling high-level assisted driving across all scenarios—including highways, urban roads, and parking—making it suitable for both internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles and new energy vehicles (NEVs). The chip also supports air-cooling thermal management, meeting the thermal dissipation and mass-production requirements of ICE vehicles. Horizon launched its Journey 6 series in April 2024, which includes six variants: 6B, 6L, 6E, 6M, 6H, and 6P. Among them, the Journey 6E offers approximately 80 TOPS of computing power, while the Journey 6M adds support for lightweight urban NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) and memory-based driving functions compared to the 6E. On January 21, 2026, Li Auto rolled out its AD Pro 4.0 update, marking the industry’s first end-to-end urban NOA solution powered by a single Journey 6M chip. This system is deployed on Li Auto’s L-series Smart Refresh Edition vehicles equipped with the AD Pro configuration.
