On September 1, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the State Administration for Market Regulation jointly issued the "Guidelines on Overseas Competitive Practices and Compliance Management for the Automotive Industry," offering general guidance to Chinese automotive enterprises engaged in international operations regarding overseas market competition and compliance management. The guidelines focus on areas including overseas marketing, workplace safety, quality management, labor protection, and data security. On September 2, BYD announced it would actively respond to these guidelines by continuously improving its end-to-end overseas compliance management system. This includes standardizing overseas pricing practices, strictly adhering to fair competition principles, safeguarding consumer rights, and implementing localized services and corporate social responsibility initiatives. BYD stated it will follow the guidelines as a roadmap to advance the high-quality international expansion of China’s automotive industry and plans to leverage technological innovation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and dependence on fossil fuels.
