On September 2, Chery Automobile issued a statement announcing its commitment to actively implement the "Guidelines on Overseas Competitive Practices and Compliance Framework for the Automotive Industry," jointly released on September 1 by China's Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and State Administration for Market Regulation. The guidelines provide general reference for Chinese automakers regarding compliance in overseas markets, covering areas such as market competition, workplace safety, quality management, labor protection, and data security. Chery stated it will adhere to the principles of "lawful compliance, fair competition, and mutual benefit" as outlined in the guidelines. The company plans to establish a scientific pricing system in overseas markets, standardize retail pricing and promotional activities, conduct truthful brand marketing, enhance its overseas quality management and after-sales service networks, and advance green, low-carbon transformation across its supply chain. Chery also reaffirmed its global philosophy of "In Somewhere, For Somewhere, Be Somewhere," underscoring its dedication to deep localization in international operations. On the same day, BYD also announced its active support for and compliance with the new guidelines.
