Recently, spy shots of a compact version of the Land Rover Defender have surfaced. The vehicle is expected to be named either Defender Sport or Defender 80 and will slot below the Defender 90 in terms of specifications. It features Land Rover’s signature front-end design, with sharp, angular rooflines and pillars, flush-fitting door handles, a side-hinged tailgate, and a license plate recessed into the center of the rear bumper. Built on the EMA platform, the new model will be offered in both all-electric and hybrid variants, utilizing an 800V electrical architecture capable of supporting up to 350kW fast charging. The vehicle is expected to debut in 2027, with pricing yet to be announced.
