The National Healthcare Security Administration (NHSA) stated that it has been exploring social insurance enrollment and contribution mechanisms for workers in new forms of employment, such as instant delivery (food delivery) and online ride-hailing services. At a press conference held this morning by the State Council Information Office as part of its "Launching the 15th Five-Year Plan" thematic series, relevant authorities outlined efforts to advance high-quality development of medical insurance and better support China's modernization drive. Currently, most megacities have lifted household registration restrictions for flexible workers seeking to enroll in basic medical insurance.
