On September 4, 2024, the Equipment Industry Department I of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released several typical cases identified during the 2025 annual inspection on production consistency of automotive products. The inspection uncovered issues falling into five categories. The most common violations involved discrepancies between certain parameters of sample vehicles and those listed in the "Announcement of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products" (hereinafter referred to as the "Announcement"), or missing mandatory equipment such as triangular warning signs, or failure to mark cargo box sideboard heights. These issues affected more than ten enterprises, including Fujian Jinbalong Automobile, Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle, Mudan Automobile, Guangdong Baolong Automobile, Yangzhou CIMC Tonghua, Zhumadian CIMC Huajun, Liangshan Taiyangsheng Automobile, Xinyang Dabie Mountain Vehicle, Hunan Wufeng Machinery, Shandong Shuangli Vehicle, Xuzhou XCMG Environmental Technology, and Shandong Deyuan Automobile Manufacturing. Some sample vehicles were found to have lighting devices non-compliant with the national standard GB 7258–2017 "Technical Conditions for Safe Operation of Motor Vehicles," involving Xinma Vehicle Co., Ltd. of Ningguo City, Anhui Province. Other sample vehicles failed to meet dimensional requirements stipulated in GB 1589–2016 "Limits of Dimensions, Axle Loads and Masses for Motor Vehicles, Trailers and Vehicle Trains," involving Liangshan Hongfu Transportation Equipment Co., Ltd. Additionally, certain sample vehicles had splash suppression systems or protective devices that did not comply with national standards such as GB 34659–2017 and GB 11567–2017, affecting companies including Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology, Sany Automobile Manufacturing, Hubei Tongwei Special Purpose Vehicle, Suizhou Changxing Mechanical Technology, and Hubei Zhongwei Special Purpose Vehicle. Furthermore, some sample vehicles exhibited brake system deficiencies failing to meet GB 12676–2014 "Technical Requirements and Test Methods for Braking Systems of Commercial Vehicles and Trailers," involving Liangshan Hengtong Trailer Manufacturing, Liangshan Lutongchang Special Purpose Vehicle Manufacturing, Liangshan Tongtai Vehicle, Liangshan Ping'an Vehicle, and Hubei Tianshen Special Purpose Vehicle Manufacturing. In response to these violations, MIIT has taken enforcement actions against the relevant enterprises in accordance with the "Administrative Licensing Law of the People's Republic of China," the "Standardization Law of the People's Republic of China," and the "Administrative Measures for Access of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products." These measures include ordering corrective actions, suspending or revoking the affected products’ listings in the "Announcement," and halting the transmission of electronic certificate-of-conformity information for the involved products.
