On September 5, Wang Chao, Vice President of Communications for Stellantis Group in the Asia-Pacific region, stated that the company does not comment on market rumors or speculation. He added that as part of its normal business operations, Stellantis continuously engages in dialogue and exchanges with global industry partners on various topics and remains committed to delivering the best mobility solutions for its customers. The future strategy and development plan for the Maserati brand will be officially unveiled at the Investor Day event scheduled for December 2024 in Modena, Italy, and no further comments will be made prior to that announcement. According to previous reports, Stellantis is currently negotiating a long-term industrial partnership involving Maserati, Huawei, and JAC Motors. The three parties plan to integrate Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility (Hongmeng Smart Mobility) platform into Maserati vehicles, aiming to launch their first jointly developed mass-production model by the end of 2027. The collaboration may adopt a dual-brand approach: the vehicle would be sold in China under JAC’s premium Maextro brand, while bearing the Maserati badge in global markets. Data shows that Maserati’s global deliveries in 2025 fell below 8,000 units, resulting in an adjusted operating loss of €198 million. Earlier this year, Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa stated that production partnerships—including those involving Maserati—have become a key pillar of the group’s new long-term strategy, and that these collaborations will positively impact production capacity at the Cassino and Modena plants in Italy.
