On September 5, at the opening ceremony of the 22nd Summer Annual Meeting of the Yabuli China Entrepreneurs Forum 2026, Yu Kai, founder and CEO of Horizon Robotics, announced that Horizon had secured the largest market share in China’s smart assisted driving chip segment in 2024. Yu stated that the company plans to launch a high-performance chip with computing power of 560 TOPS in 2025. Currently, Horizon ranks second in the high-compute automotive chip market, trailing only NVIDIA. He explicitly declared that Horizon’s goal for next year is to surpass NVIDIA in China’s high-end autonomous driving chip market. Additionally, on September 3, Horizon announced that cumulative production of its Journey series autonomous driving chips has exceeded 15 million units, empowering over 8 million vehicle owners and establishing partnerships with more than 40 automotive brands, including all of China’s top ten automakers.
