China’s Auto Exports Hit 1.092 Million Units in July 2026, Up 57.5% YoY

According to data from China Customs compiled by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in July 2026, China exported 1.092 million complete vehicles, up 2.2% month-over-month and 57.5% year-over-year. Export value reached USD 18.98 billion (approximately RMB 127.534 billion), an increase of 4.1% month-over-month and 60.4% year-over-year. From January to July 2026, cumulative exports of complete vehicles totaled 6.399 million units, up 53.7% year-over-year, with a total export value of USD 110.78 billion (approximately RMB 744.375 billion), an increase of 54.9% year-over-year. In the same period, China imported 43,000 complete vehicles in July 2026, up 13.0% month-over-month but down 12.8% year-over-year. Import value amounted to USD 2.12 billion (approximately RMB 14.245 billion), rising 11.8% month-over-month but falling 15.5% year-over-year. From January to July 2026, cumulative imports of complete vehicles totaled 244,000 units, down 10.9% year-over-year, with a total import value of USD 11.56 billion (approximately RMB 77.676 billion), down 18.0% year-over-year.
