On September 8, 2026, spy photos of the Mercedes-AMG C-Class EV prototype undergoing road testing were released, showing the prototype’s active pop-up rear spoiler rising from the trunk lid. The standard all-electric C-Class was unveiled in April, while the AMG variant remains under development and is expected to launch in 2027. The latest prototype seen in the spy shots features wheels different from those on previous test vehicles. Sources indicate the new model will be equipped with an active aerodynamics system. Mercedes-Benz is also developing a recalibrated air suspension and rear-wheel steering system. The already-released all-electric CLA 45 features synthetic internal combustion engine sound, simulated gear shifts, and active seat vibration technology. Mercedes-Benz has not yet disclosed specific specifications for the all-electric AMG C-Class. The CLA 45 EV’s triple-motor setup delivers up to 680 hp (500 kW), while the standard C400 4MATIC EV uses a dual-motor configuration with a maximum output of 490 hp (360 kW). The C400 supports DC fast charging at up to 330 kW and offers a maximum range of 762 km on a single charge, powered by a 94 kWh battery.
