Romanian automaker Dacia has announced a complete redesign of its Spring all-electric city car. The new model features a four-seat layout and took 16 months to progress from concept design to full-scale production. The vehicle measures 3,850 mm in length, 1,740 mm in width, and 1,490 mm in height, with a trunk capacity of 337 liters. It is equipped with a 27.5 kWh battery pack, delivering a WLTP-rated range of 155 miles (approximately 249 kilometers). Power comes from a front-mounted electric motor producing 79 horsepower, enabling a 0–62 mph (0–100 km/h) acceleration time of 12.1 seconds. Inside, the cabin features hexagonal air vents and YouClip mounts, allowing for the attachment of accessories such as phone holders, bag hooks, and cup holders. The base Expression trim does not include a central infotainment screen but comes with a smartphone holder; the higher-spec Journey trim features a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Dacia stated that the new Spring will launch in the UK market in the first half of 2027, with a starting price expected to be under £18,000 (approximately RMB 164,000 at current exchange rates). Data shows that owners of the previous-generation Spring averaged about 13 miles (approximately 21 kilometers) of daily driving, at an average speed of around 13 mph (approximately 21 km/h).
