On September 8, 2026, AXERA Technology announced the launch of two new 5nm intelligent driving chips in its M9 series: the M97 (M9x-720T) and the M95 (M9x-360T). Both products meet AEC-Q100 automotive-grade certification requirements, feature an integrated ASIL-D lockstep safety island, achieve an overall ASIL-B rating, and support dual-chip redundant configurations. The M97 features 16 Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU cores with a processing power of 400 KDMIPS, integrates 720 TOPS equivalent AI computing performance, includes a proprietary ISP supporting up to 16 camera inputs with a throughput of 4.5 Gpixels/s, incorporates a CVA pre-processing unit, and delivers an effective memory bandwidth of 460 GB/s. The M95 features 10 Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU cores with a processing power of 257 KDMIPS, integrates 360 TOPS equivalent AI computing performance, includes a proprietary ISP supporting up to 14 camera inputs with a throughput of 2.6 Gpixels/s, incorporates a CVA pre-processing unit, and delivers an effective memory bandwidth of 260 GB/s. Both the M97 and M95 reduce ISP pipeline latency by 70%.
