In 2022, Mercedes-Benz launched the EQE sedan. Spy photos revealed on September 9 show that the latest prototype of the all-electric E-Class has shed most of its camouflage, with the production model’s headlights making their debut. Each headlight unit features a pair of three-pointed star-shaped daytime running lights, while the front grille remains covered. Powertrain-wise, the all-electric E-Class will be built on Mercedes-Benz’s MB.EA architecture and is expected to feature an 800V electrical system, supporting a peak charging power of up to 330 kW. If the dual-motor E400 adopts the same powertrain as the C400 4MATIC, it would deliver a maximum output of 360 kW (489 hp), enabling a 0–100 km/h acceleration time slightly above 4 seconds. The new model is scheduled to launch in 2027.
