On September 8, 2026, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released the new product disclosure list for the 411th batch of the "Announcement on Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products," under which three plug-in hybrid off-road passenger vehicle variants of the Tank 700 Hi4-Z completed their filings. The three filed models include a 2.0T plug-in hybrid short-wheelbase 5-seater, a 3.0T plug-in hybrid short-wheelbase 5-seater, and a 3.0T plug-in hybrid long-wheelbase 6-seater. All support external charging, offer optional ETC onboard units, are equipped with an Event Data Recorder (EDR), and can be optionally fitted with a towing device. The trailer mass capacity is 750 kg without brakes and 2,500 kg with brakes. Notably, the 2.0T variant is only available as a long-wheelbase 6-seater, while the 3.0T variant is offered in both short-wheelbase 5-seater and long-wheelbase 6-seater configurations. Some models offer an optional “GF” rear badge. In terms of dimensions, the short-wheelbase version measures 5,110 mm in length, 2,122 mm in width, and 1,986 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm and a rated occupancy of five passengers. The long-wheelbase version measures 5,445 mm in length, 2,126 mm in width, and 2,021 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,150 mm and a rated occupancy of six passengers. Regarding powertrain specifications, the 2.0T turbocharged engine (model E20NB) delivers a maximum output of 185 kW and a net power of 180 kW. The 3.0T turbocharged engine (model E30Z) offers a maximum output of 265 kW and a net power of 260 kW. Both variants use nickel-cobalt-manganese ternary lithium batteries supplied by SVOLT Energy. On the morning of September 9, 2026, Gu Yukun, CEO of Great Wall Motor’s Tank brand, released a video introducing the newly filed vehicles and the “GF” emblem. Gu stated that “GF” stands for “Great Faith,” representing Tank’s premium performance product series, which starts with a 3.0T V6 engine. The first model to carry this badge will be the Tank 700 GF, positioned as the flagship, and is scheduled for launch by the end of 2026. The GF series will be extended to additional Tank models in the future.
