On September 10, 2026, Li Xiang, CEO of Li Auto, announced in a post that the Maas VLA 2.0 system would begin rolling out starting that day to vehicles equipped with AD Max that have already been delivered, covering nearly one million users. This rollout involves both the Orin and Thor platforms. On the same day, Li Auto’s official Weibo account announced the official launch of OTA version 8.6, with Maas VLA 2.0 going live simultaneously. This version adapts core capabilities—including perception, reasoning, and planning—across multiple vehicle models through distillation. The OTA update introduces new features such as the Li Auto AI Glasses "Livis" for voice-commanded parking assistance, supporting various voice instructions, along with new functions like large-screen turn-view imaging, digital art frames, and new games. This update is available for the 2024–2025 Li Auto MEGA, Li Auto i series, and 2022–2025 Li Auto L series models, with certain features limited to the AD Max variants of these vehicles.
