On September 11, Bovensiepen—founded by Alpina founder Burkard Bovensiepen—unveiled the Spider, a limited-edition model based on the BMW Z4. Production is capped at 99 units, with deliveries scheduled to begin in early 2027. The car is priced at €115,500 in Germany (approximately RMB 902,000 at current exchange rates). The Spider is built upon the top-trim Z4 M40i and features a reinforced 3.0-liter inline-six engine producing 429 horsepower and 580 N·m of peak torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and has a top speed of 295 km/h. Bovensiepen redesigned the intake system, optimized exhaust airflow, and enhanced the cooling system. An optional Performance Pack improves thermal management of the differential. For the chassis, the Spider uses retuned dampers, lightweight forged wheels, and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. A high-performance braking system is available as an option. The transmission is a standard ZF 8-speed automatic. Inside, the cabin retains the Z4’s original layout, featuring Vernasca leather seats, a Lavalina leather-wrapped steering wheel, and Alcantara trim around the windshield.
