On September 12, Volkswagen Anhui launched the ID. UNYX Shadow Edition SUV, offering two variants. The rear-wheel-drive Shadow Edition with a 95kWh battery delivers a CLTC range of 730 km and is available at a limited-time promotional price of RMB 219,900. The all-wheel-drive Shadow Edition with the same 95kWh battery offers a CLTC range of 700 km and is priced at a limited-time promotional rate of RMB 249,900. The ID. UNYX Shadow Edition measures 5,000 mm in length, 1,954 mm in width, and 1,688 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,030 mm. Its exterior features an all-black paint scheme accented by a gold Volkswagen emblem and orange highlights. It rides on matte-black 21-inch wheels paired with orange Brembo four-piston calipers and sports an integrated wolf-head-inspired high-mounted brake light at the rear. Inside, the cabin adopts a black-and-orange color scheme, with orange stitching on the seats and steering wheel, and orange seat belts. The intelligent cockpit is equipped with a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument cluster and dual 14.96-inch 2.4K screens. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon SA8295P cockpit chip and running VW OS 2.2, it includes over 50 WeChat Mini Programs and a microphone-free karaoke function. The rear seats feature foldable tray tables on both sides and a 6.7L onboard refrigerator capable of temperature adjustment from -5°C to 50°C, offering cooling, heating, and freshness-preserving modes along with UV sterilization. The vehicle also comes with a UWB smart key supporting remote parking assist and centimeter-level seamless unlocking and locking. For intelligent driving, the ID. UNYX Shadow Edition is equipped with the VLA 2.0 end-to-end large model, standard dual Turing chips delivering a total computing power of 1,500 TOPS, and 26 perception sensors. System latency has been reduced from 200 ms to 80 ms, and VLA 2.0 supports NOA activation from 0 km/h. Powering the vehicle is an 800V high-voltage architecture with CATL-supplied 95kWh battery cells, enabling a 10%–80% charge in just 20 minutes. The single-motor rear-wheel-drive variant produces a maximum output of 230 kW and peak torque of 465 N·m, while the dual-motor all-wheel-drive version delivers a combined system output of 370 kW. The suspension setup consists of a front double-wishbone and rear five-link independent configuration, complemented by standard Vibratech twin-chamber air springs and ZF’s DCC dynamic damping system, allowing for up to 200 damping adjustments per second and ±100 mm of ride height adjustment. Braking performance is enhanced by Brembo front four-piston calipers and Pirelli P Zero tires, achieving a 100–0 km/h stopping distance of 35.3 meters.
