Commercial registration documents show that Tesla has established a subsidiary in Vietnam named Tesla Motors Vietnam Limited Liability Company, registered in Ho Chi Minh City with a charter capital of VND 77.667 billion (approximately USD 3 million). The company was incorporated on September 11 and is authorized to engage in wholesale and retail trade of automobiles, automotive parts, machinery, and equipment, as well as related import-export and distribution activities. According to the registration documents, the new company has three legal representatives: one Vietnamese national and two U.S. citizens. David Jon Feinstein, a U.S. citizen with a registered address in Austin, Texas, serves as Chairman; Isabel Ching Fan serves as General Manager; and Nguyen Manh Hung, a Vietnamese national, serves as Deputy General Manager. Data shows that in August 2026, automobile sales in Vietnam reached 48,484 units, down 18% from July. Of this total, VinFast accounted for 20,161 units, or 42% of overall sales. This figure does not include imported vehicles.
