SAIC Volkswagen General Manager Wu Yun recently issued a round of executive appointments covering five areas: marketing, product, production planning, financial control, and supply chain. A total of 20 personnel saw changes in their roles: 16 received acting appointments, three stepped down from their current positions with new arrangements, and one ceased holding a concurrent role. The appointments took effect on September 2, 2026. All positions involved in this rotation are marked as acting roles. This reshuffle occurred 30 days after Wu Yun assumed the role of General Manager of SAIC Volkswagen. Key personnel changes include: - Chen Feng, formerly General Manager of the East China Marketing Region for the Volkswagen brand, has been appointed Acting Deputy General Manager of the Volkswagen Brand Marketing Division and concurrently serves as Acting General Manager of the Volkswagen Brand Sales Department; - Yu Wei, previously General Manager of the Volkswagen Brand Sales Department, has moved to become Acting General Manager of the Volkswagen Brand Premium Models GTM Department; - Xu Jinjin, former head of the Volkswagen Brand Premium Models GTM Department, now takes over as Acting General Manager of the East China Marketing Region for the Volkswagen brand; - Chen Li transitions from General Manager of the Volkswagen Brand Marketing Department to Acting General Manager of the Product Definition Department; - Shao Chunhui, formerly General Manager of the Product Definition Department, moves to become Acting General Manager of the Mainstream Models Product Strategy Department; - Hu Yiren shifts from General Manager of Market Communication – Purple Department to Acting General Manager of the Volkswagen Brand Marketing Department; - Sun Lisha moves from General Manager of the Product Platform Strategy Department to Acting General Manager of the Powertrain Management Department, while Yu Xiaofeng makes the reverse move. SAIC Volkswagen Sales Company’s previous organizational structure was designed based on an annual sales volume of two million vehicles and three brand business units, later adding a dedicated GTM function. The current restructuring is aligned with a scale of two brand business units and an annual sales target of approximately 700,000 vehicles. According to SAIC Motor’s August 2026 production and sales bulletin, SAIC Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. reported August sales of 47,700 units, down 44.97% year-over-year; cumulative sales for the year reached 432,200 units, a 34.34% decline compared to the same period last year.
