Volvo Trucks Begins Deliveries of First Heavy-Duty Electric Models Off Swedish Production Line

On September 14 local time, Volvo Trucks announced that its next-generation electric trucks, unveiled in April 2026, have rolled off the production line for the first time at the Tuve plant in Gothenburg, Sweden, and are now being delivered to customers worldwide. The models entering mass production include the FH Aero Electric, along with the new-generation FH Electric, FM Electric, and FMX Electric. The FH Aero Electric features an electric drive axle and offers a range of up to 700 km on a single charge, supporting megawatt-level fast charging. The FH Electric, FM Electric, and FMX Electric models deliver a range of 470 km. Volvo Trucks also introduced upgraded versions of the FH Electric and FH Aero Electric with a gross vehicle weight rating of up to 80 tonnes. These variants achieve a range of 450 km at a total weight of 64 tonnes, and 420 km at total weights of 74 or 76 tonnes.
