Land Rover Range Rover Plans Smaller Interior Screens for Future Models

On September 12 local time, Land Rover Range Rover announced plans to reduce the size of interior screens in future models and will not add a dedicated passenger-side display. The production version of the Range Rover GT already features this design, equipped with a slim digital instrument cluster and a lower-positioned center touchscreen. Ryan Miller, Global Product Marketing Director for Range Rover, confirmed that the interior of the next-generation models will follow a similar minimalist direction as the GT. Over the coming years—and even decades—the GT’s cabin design philosophy will gradually be extended across other Range Rover models. Martin Limpert, Global Managing Director of Range Rover, stated that Range Rover aims to eliminate visual and auditory distractions within the cabin. Regarding physical controls, Range Rover does not intend to significantly reintroduce physical buttons. Physical controls on the steering wheel will be retained, while most secondary functions will remain screen-operated.
