On the evening of September 15, 2026, BYD released data showing that as of August 31, 2026, the cumulative number of BYD vehicles equipped with advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) exceeded 3.72 million, including 201,533 units sold in August. The "God’s Eye" ADAS system generates over 230 million kilometers of driving data daily. The term “ADAS-equipped models” includes vehicles equipped with either BYD’s God’s Eye or Huawei’s Qiankun Smart Driving system. In terms of sales, BYD sold 433,000 passenger vehicles in August, compared to 372,000 during the same period last year. Specifically, pure electric passenger vehicle sales reached 256,230 units, while plug-in hybrid passenger vehicle sales totaled 177,154 units, bringing total vehicle sales for the month to 440,293 units. Cumulative vehicle sales from January to August amounted to 2,668,015 units. Among these, Dynasty and Ocean series accounted for 375,373 units, Fangchengbao sold 41,568 units, Denza sold 16,001 units, and Yangwang sold 442 units. On August 19, 2026, Zhang Zhuo, General Manager of BYD’s Ocean Network, stated that BYD’s accumulation of data from millions of vehicles has been the key reason behind the significant improvement in the user experience of God’s Eye B in 2026. He added that as China’s intelligent driving industry fully transitions toward end-to-end architectures, the capability gap among automakers is expected to gradually narrow.
