On September 16, Audi officially announced that the all-new Audi S5 Avant will make its domestic market debut on September 20, with a limited launch edition of just 99 units. Imported for sale, it is the only wagon in Audi’s domestic S family lineup. Han Han has been granted use of the first unit of the launch edition and completed the vehicle’s first domestic test drive on mountain roads in Anji, Zhejiang. The launch edition features exclusive Magnet Gray paint and F16 Audi Sport multi-spoke Dark Night Gold wheels, while the standard version supports personalized customization. Exterior highlights include a matte Titanium Black honeycomb front grille and digital matrix LED headlights, complemented by full-width OLED taillights and quad exhaust tips at the rear. The vehicle measures 4,835 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, and 1,450 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,896 mm—70 mm longer than the previous-generation S4 Avant. Inside, the cabin is equipped with an 11.9-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a 14.5-inch MMI central touchscreen, and a 10.9-inch passenger entertainment display, along with a head-up display (HUD) and a Bang & Olufsen sound system. All models come standard with premium leather Super Sport seats featuring ventilation and massage functions. Under the hood, the new model is powered by an upgraded EA839 evo 3.0T V6 engine producing 270 kW (367 hp) and 550 N·m of peak torque, paired with a 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission. The engine incorporates VTG (Variable Turbine Geometry) technology. Additionally, the car features a 48V MHEV Plus intelligent mild-hybrid system with a P3 motor layout, delivering 18 kW of auxiliary power and supporting up to 25 kW of regenerative braking, enabling short-distance pure electric driving. According to official figures, the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds—0.2 seconds quicker than its predecessor—with a top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h. Chassis-wise, the S5 Avant comes standard with Audi’s quattro intelligent all-wheel-drive system and an RS-grade rear sport differential. The trunk offers a standard capacity of 448 liters, expandable to 1,396 liters with the rear seats folded down.
