FAW Jiefang Unveils Forward-Looking Concept Truck TL.X at the 72nd IAA Transportation Exhibition

On September 14 local time, the 72nd IAA TRANSPORTATION opened at the Hannover Exhibition Center in Germany. FAW Jiefang participated under the theme “ENGINEERING THE NEXT HORIZON, DELIVERING THE NEXT JOURNEY,” showcasing five complete vehicles, nine core powertrain systems, and unveiling its forward-looking concept truck, the TL.X. In his speech, Zhang Xiaofan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of China FAW Group Corporation, stated that 2026 marks the 70th anniversary of the rollout of New China’s first automobile, the Jiefang CA10. FAW Jiefang has achieved comprehensive synergy across fuel, gas, hydrogen, electric, and hybrid energy pathways and offers full-scenario adaptability across heavy-duty, medium-duty, light-duty, mini, and passenger vehicle segments. Its products are available in 115 countries and regions worldwide, with cumulative production and sales nearing ten million units. At this exhibition, FAW Jiefang displayed mass-produced models covering diesel, natural gas (NG), hybrid, battery-electric, and hydrogen fuel cell energy solutions, including tractor trucks, cargo trucks, dump trucks, and specialized vehicles. The forward-looking concept truck TL.X unveiled by FAW Jiefang is targeted for launch in 2036. The “T” derives from the common international product root “Tron”; the “L” stands for “Leading”; and the “X” symbolizes pioneering innovation in the future logistics and transportation industry. FAW Jiefang plans to develop the TL.X into an open, shared technological ecosystem platform centered on three pillars: heritage reimagined, personalized customization, and full-vehicle intelligence.
