On September 19, the "Insightful Dialogue" session of the 22nd China Automotive Industry Development (TEDA) International Forum was held in Tianjin Binhai New Area. Chen Xiaofeng, Vice President of Great Wall Motor's Technology Center and Chief Scientist, delivered a keynote speech. In his speech, Chen cited data indicating that the penetration rate of L2-level advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) in new vehicle sales will reach 66.1% in 2025, up from 55.7% in 2024. He also noted that intelligent cockpit adoption has reached 76.6%, already becoming mainstream in vehicles priced around RMB 100,000. Great Wall Motor has structured its vehicle capabilities into over 4,000 MCP atomic capabilities, employing sandbox isolation and a vehicle control safety net mechanism. Its latest-generation intelligent vehicle operating system, Coffee AI OS 4, is now deployed on models including WEY Gaoshan, second-generation Lanshan, V9X, and EV variants. The company has established a seven-layer user experience evaluation framework, converting more than 3,100 historical engineering issues into over 240 development standards, earning the “Outstanding Level for Intelligent Cockpit Smoothness Performance” certification from Tel Labs. Regarding its overseas expansion, Chen outlined three phases for Great Wall Motor’s globalization strategy: a hardware export phase prior to 2023; a technology export phase from 2023 to present; and an ecosystem export phase beginning in 2026. The company has independently developed a “1+N+AI” intelligent autonomous service architecture and currently offers overseas models such as the Ora 5, Chulian, and Haval H7.
