XPeng AeroHT Founder Zhao Deli Says He Would Invite Musk to Experience Flying Car If He Visits China

Recently, Zhao Deli, founder of XPENG AEROHT, said in an interview that if Musk enters the flying car track, XPENG AEROHT will be capable of competing with him. He also said that if Musk visits China again, he hopes to invite him to experience an AEROHT flying car. Recently, Tesla unveiled the new Roadster Rocket sports car in Texas. The vehicle burst out from a curved ramp, drove upside down while clinging closely to the slope, then leapt into the air, rolled 180 degrees in midair, and landed on four wheels. While the video was circulating, Zhao Deli was giving a presentation to American teenagers at the XPENG AEROHT showroom in Guangzhou. XPENG AEROHT's core product is the split-type flying car "Land Aircraft Carrier," which consists of two parts: a ground module and an independent flight module. The two-person electric aircraft can be stowed inside the ground vehicle body. After arriving at the site, the flight module can automatically separate and take off. The entire separation and docking process is automatically completed by a mechanism triggered by a smart key, with no manual intervention throughout, and the aircraft can be stowed and released in about five minutes. The product can park in a standard parking space, and drivers with a Class C license can drive it on the ground. According to the plan, the product will start mass-production deliveries in mid-2027. Zhao Deli also said that XPENG AEROHT's core technologies such as electric propulsion and flight control are all independently developed.
