On October 30, 2026, CATL's Chocolate Battery Swap announced the achievement of full-island coverage across Hainan. A network of 48 Chocolate battery swap stations has been completed across the island, covering 11 cities and counties in Hainan Province and connecting the core transportation corridors of the "three vertical and two horizontal" routes. On the same day, 1,500 battery-swap passenger vehicles and light trucks were delivered in a centralized handover. Chocolate battery swap stations provide passenger vehicles with a 99-second energy replenishment, while Chocolate light-truck battery swap stations can complete a battery swap in 120 seconds. Through a modular architecture design, the light-truck stations are compatible with passenger vehicles and truck-series models with wheelbases ranging from 2.7 meters to 3.75 meters, and are adapted to Chocolate 25# and 35# batteries. According to the plan, the total number of CATL Chocolate battery swap stations in Hainan Province is expected to reach 54 by the end of the year, and the total number of battery swap stations across the island is expected to exceed 80 by 2027. As of September 2026, CATL's Chocolate Battery Swap had built 2,520 battery swap stations in 200 cities nationwide, with plans to expand to 30,000 stations going forward.
