On October 23, the 2026 8th Golden Compass Awards Ceremony was held in Shanghai, where the "China Automotive New Supply Chain Top 100" list was officially unveiled. This year's selection focused on nine core tracks: ADAS/AD, smart cockpits, smart chassis, automotive-grade chips, automotive software and AI, powertrain electrification and battery charging/swapping, body and interior/exterior, new materials and advanced manufacturing, and embodied intelligence and cross-boundary technologies. The "embodied intelligence and cross-boundary technologies" track was included in the Top 100 selection for the first time. Among the companies on the list, domestic enterprises accounted for more than half of the seats, while foreign companies included Bosch, ZF, Qualcomm, NVIDIA, Infineon, and FORVIA HELLA. AgiBot, Galaxy General Robot, Qualcomm, and Joyson Electronics became the first batch of representative embodied intelligence companies to enter the list, with Joyson Electronics winning an award for its "Lingxi Professional Edition Dexterous Hand." According to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in the first three quarters of 2026, China's automobile exports reached 8.205 million units, up 65.8% year on year; exports of new energy vehicles reached 4.006 million units, up more than 130% year on year; and new energy vehicles accounted for 53.6% of new vehicle sales in the first three quarters, with the single-month figure for September at 61.6%. Data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology shows that as of August 2026, about 61 million passenger cars in China were equipped with combined driving assistance (L2) functions, of which about 15 million had navigation-guided driving assistance (NOA) functions. In August 2026, the penetration rate of smart cockpits in domestic passenger cars was 87.5%. In the first half of 2026, the combined share of three suppliers—Konghui Technology, Tuopu Group, and Baolong Technology—in China's air suspension market was 91.4%; in the lidar market, Hesai Technology held a 34.2% share. In the SiC power module market, Infineon ranked first. In terms of industrial cooperation, Horizon Robotics will embed its technology foundation into the supply chain systems of Bosch, Denso, and Astemo in 2026, and has established a joint venture called Coolray with Volkswagen's CARIAD. Momenta's driving assistance system has become standard across the new-generation BMW iX3 and has entered Mercedes-Benz's supply chain. iFlytek signed a new five-year strategic cooperation agreement with Chery. On Joyson Electronics' production line, AgiBot's Genie G2 achieved a 99.9% success rate in flexible assembly operations, with the fastest cycle time at 12.97 seconds. In addition, based on a supply chain database covering 320,000 enterprises, the construction of the "China Automotive Industry Innovation Case Library" has been launched. Pre-applications for the "2027 Golden Compass Awards" selection are now open.
