On November 3, at Baidu AI Day·Apollo special event held in Shenzhen, Baidu Apollo unveiled for the first time Apollo World, an agent-driven omni-modal world model for physical AI, and proposed a "2+3" evaluation framework for world models. The "2" refers to foundational thresholds, encompassing two dimensions: causality and interactivity. The "3" refers to advanced indicators, including three增益 attributes: physical accuracy, persistence, and real-time performance. Currently, the model has been applied to the global testing and validation of Apollo Go. The virtual road-test mileage completed by Apollo World in a single day is equivalent to approximately three years of continuous testing by a real road-test vehicle equipped with a safety driver. Apollo Go has established operations in 28 cities worldwide, completing over 23 million ride-hailing services cumulatively, with total autonomous driving mileage exceeding 350 million kilometers, of which fully driverless mileage surpasses 240 million kilometers. It has also conducted driverless practices in both left-hand and right-hand drive markets. The technology stack of Apollo World can be extended to physical AI scenarios such as robotics.
