The two parties will engage in deep collaboration on E/E testing technology synergy, joint standard development, and global market expansion. AVL employs over 12,200 people worldwide and reported revenues of €2.03 billion in 2024. It has long played a leading role in shaping international standards in the E/E testing field. Kunyi Electronics has specialized in automotive E/E testing for 15 years, building a comprehensive product portfolio covering hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) testing, data acquisition, and automated testing solutions. The company serves more than 400 OEMs and Tier suppliers, with R&D personnel accounting for 60% of its workforce. This partnership focuses on four key areas: First, enhancing domestic capabilities in high-end testing equipment and core software through technological synergy, driving the transformation of China’s testing toolchain toward higher value segments. Second, aligning Chinese E/E testing standards with international benchmarks while incorporating local requirements into global standard-setting processes. Third, reducing R&D costs—particularly for small and medium-sized domestic automakers—and improving testing efficiency. Fourth, fostering coordinated development across the upstream and downstream ecosystem to strengthen the overall competitiveness of China’s domestic E/E testing industry chain. Previously, Kunyi Electronics had already expanded into European, U.S., and Japanese markets with solutions such as its HiL testing systems, serving numerous international clients. This collaboration with AVL will further accelerate its global channel deployment and facilitate an upgrade from “product globalization” to “technology system and brand globalization.” Currently, the automotive industry is rapidly transitioning toward centralized-zonal E/E architectures, significantly increasing testing complexity.
