SAIC Volkswagen: We are No.1.

In June, SAIC Volkswagen once again ranked the first in the sales of narrow sense passenger vehicle (PV) with more than 150,000 units. The all new Lavida is still the best-selling sedan of SAIC Volkswagen, with sales of 40,645 units, a year-on-year increase of 41.2%. In addition, sales of the Santana and the Passat are also quite good. What is worth mentioning is that the all new Lavida was launched recently, and it is believed that it will further enhance the sales of SAIC Volkswagen.

FAW-Volkswagen: Our first SUV is standby.

FAW-Volkswagen also did a good job in June with merely a moderate sales gap with SAIC Volkswagen. In terms of specific models, sales of the Jetta was the most outstanding, with 19,731 units sold, but the year-on-year growth rate declined. In addition, FAW-Volkswagen's first SUV, the T-ROC, will be launched in July, which is an important step for FAW-Volkswagen to expand its SUV market.

SAIC-GM: To be an Elite.

In June, SAIC-GM did not achieve a satisfactory sales volume. Although the sales ranked the third among joint ventures with 123,079 units sold, the year-on-year growth rate fell sharply. The sales of the Kovaz and the Buick SUV were also not good enough. The sales of the new Excelle ranks relatively high, with 17,690 units sold, but declined 52.6% year-on-year.

Dongfeng Nissan: What a great performance!

Dongfeng Nissan ranked fourth among 9 joint ventures with sales of 110,212 units in June, a year-on-year growth rate of 13.3%. The Sylphy remained the best-selling car model, with sales of 42,681 units, an increase of 11.9%. The X-Trail also achieved sales of 17,194 uints, an increase of 27.7% year-on-year.

Guangqi Honda: A wide gap to go

The sales gap between Guangqi Honda and the above four was significantly wide. In June, they sold 61,263 units, an increase of 9.8% year-on-year. In terms of specific models, the new Accord did great after its launching. In addition, the Vezel also performed good in its sales of 13,545 units, an increase of 27.5% year-on-year.

FAW Toyota: Keep it.

FAW Toyota sold 58,908 units in June, an increase of 2.8% year-on-year. The Toyota RAV4 became the sales highlight, ranking 12th in SUV sales with 11,362 units, an increase of 3.2% year-on-year.

Beijing Hyundai: Luckily, we have Elantra.

Beijing Hyundai sold a total of 50,113 units in June, an increase of 0.2% year-on-year. In terms of specific models, only the Elantra entered the sales list, with 14,796 units sold, an increase of 187.7% year-on-year, making itself a more prominent sedan among the rank.

GAC Toyota: Made a great progress.

GAC Toyota sold 48,673 units in June, an increase of 28.0% year-on-year. Among the sold models, the Levin was sold the best, with 17,170 units sold, an increase of 32.9% year-on-year. However, the sales of the Highlander and the Camry were average.

Dongfeng Honda: Played under par.

In June, the Civic represented the better-selling model of Dongfeng Honda, with sales of 16,585 units, an increase of 2.4% year-on-year. Sales of the XR-V declined to 11,299 units, a decrease of 10.0% year-on-year. In addition, the overall sales of Dongfeng Honda were not satisfactory, with 46,684 units sold, a decline of 20.9% year-on-year.

Summary: The release of sales results in June is a summary of the first half of 2018 and marks a perfect ending of the second quarter of this year. Among the ranking of the 9 automobile joint ventures, SAIC Volkswagen once again made a clean sweep. Although FAW-Volkswagen had declined somewhat, it still firmly grasped the second place. SAIC-GM and Dongfeng Honda need to redouble their efforts to catch up with others.
