The U5 is the first production car of AIWAYS AUTO, which will be available and delivered this year. In addition, AIWAYS AUTO has also planned 3 different models.
Recently, IIA learned from the Environmental Protection Department of Jiangxi Province that AIWAYS AUTO's plant in Shangrao Economic Development Zone in Jiangxi will start trial production in July. The plant has an annual production capacity of 100,000 units and will produce three new models, including two SUVs and a MPV. Among them, the cruising range of AIWAYS MPV based on the MAS platform is expected to exceed 350 kilometers.
The E01 is positioned as a crossover SUV of A01 class. In terms of power, it is equipped with a motor with a maximum power of 110kw and a peak torque of 126Nm. It has the NEDC cruising range of 281km and the 0-100km/h acceleration time is 8.5s. The MAS861 is positioned as an A+ Class compact SUV with a maximum power of 130 kW, a peak torque of 275 Nm and a NEDC cruising range of 300 km. The MAS871 is a 7-seat MPV with a body length of 4,700 mm and has a NEDC cruising range of 350 km.
MAS861 and MAS871 will be manufactured based on the MAS platform. The platform supports multi-spectrum development under the same architecture, covering A, A+, and B classes, and the wheelbase can be adjusted between 2700-3000 mm. At the same time, the MAS platform adapts to a variety of drive forms, and the acceleration performance of the vehicle can reach 5-10 seconds. The platform is compatible with a variety of battery pack designs. In addition, the MAS platform supports at least 15 models of application bandwidth, providing the basis for the AIWAYS car to broaden the product matrix.
The AIWAYS AUTO factory is located in Shangrao Economic Development Zone, Jiangxi Province, with a total area of 633,300 square meters, with a total investment of 430,860 yuan. The factory started the process of engineering, civil construction and equipment procurement in October last year. It is expected to start trial production in July and is expected to be officially produced in January 2022.
Previously, JMC was approved to launch an annual production of 100,000 pure electric vehicles in the Shangrao Economic Development Zone. JMC rented the factory built by AIWAYS. And JMC and AIWAYS are expected to start the OEM cooperation.
