In April, Geely's sales volume was only 103,900 units, down 19% year-on-year. Recently, IIA learned from Geely: Geely, including the LYNK&CO brand, sold only 90,309 units in May, down 27% year-on-year and down 13% from the previous month, falling for two consecutive months. In the first five months of this year, Geely's cumulative sales volume was 560,805 units, down about 12% year-on-year, and only completed 37% of the annual sales target of 1.51 million units.
In terms of specific models, only three Geely brand models sold more than 10,000 units, namely 16,223 in the Emgrand, 13,527 in the Bo Yue and 10,059 in Bin Yue. For other models, the Emgrand GS was sold 5,450 units, the Emgrand GL was sold 5,046 units, the Vision 5,027 units, the Vision SUV 4,386 units, the Bin Rui 5,035 units, the Jia Ji 4,164 units, the Xing Yue 1,109 units. In the LYNK&CO brand, the sales volume of the LYNK&CO 01 was 4,104 units, the LYNK&CO 02 was 2,040 units, and the LYNK&CO 03 was 3,046 units.
In addition, Geely said that the decline in sales in May this year was due to Geely's continued reduction in the total inventory of dealers. At the same time, the corresponding steady growth in annual and monthly retail sales also reflects the improvement in the demand for Geely's products in the market.
