#JMCG + Huawei
On June 14, Jiangling Motors Group Co., Ltd. (JMCG) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Huawei. For the automotive industry's electrification and intelligent transformation, domestic and foreign car companies are stepping up the layout of electrification technology and intelligent network technology. JMCG has already had a layout in the field of NEVs, but it has few actions in terms of intelligent interconnected. This cooperation with Huawei may be an important step for JMCG to implement its intelligent strategy. At present, the two sides have not revealed specific details of the cooperation.
#Dongfeng Yueda Kia OEM Human Horizons
Emerging automakers generally choose traditional independent car companies as their OEMs, while Human Horizons chose a different path. IIA learned from Human Horizons that the company has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Yueda Group and Dongfeng Yueda Kia (DYK). Its first model will be produced at the No.1 plant of DYK in Yancheng, Jiangsu province which is expected to be completed handed over to Human Horizons in 2021.
This cooperation between DYK and Human Horizons was driven by Yueda Group who is one of the shareholders of DYK and one of the investors of Human Horizons.
The NO.1 plant of DYK has the capacity of producing 150,000 cars per year. The main products include the Sportage R and the Kia KX7. These two models will be produced in the No.2 and No.3 plants. This cooperation is also the first time in China that a joint venture acted as an OEM of emerging automakers.
