The Jeep Renegade currently on the market is powered by a 1.4T engine and a 2.0L engine. According to previous reports, the new Jeep Renegade will redesign its exterior and add a new 1.3T engine. IIA learned from Jeep that the new Jeep Renegade will be officially unveiled at the Chengdu Motor Show, which opened on September 5. In addition to the design adjustments, the biggest highlight of the new car is the new 1.3T engine, which surpasses the 1.4T and 2.0L models currently on sale.
The headlights on the new Renegade have been redesigned with round daytime running lights around. The tail design echoes the shape of the front end. The tail light group adopts a highly recognizable “rectangular” shape, and the “X” type design is added inside to highlight the personality. The new car bumper is made of different materials and has rectangular reflectors on both sides. The bottom silvery guard and the single-sided double-outlet are all very young and sporty.
The new Renegade has added a new 1.3T turbocharged engine with a rated power at 127 kW. Matched with dual-clutch gearbox, it has a combined fuel consumption of 6 liters per 100 kilometers. It is worth noting that the current Renegade is powered by 2.0L and 1.4T engines with a maximum power of 114 kW and 110 kW. After comparison, the new car equipped with a 1.3T engine has obvious advantages in terms of power.
