Jeep Wrangler 4xe will be introduced to China early 2021

IIA learned that the Jeep Wrangler 4xe will be launched globally on September 3 and will be first sold in the US market at the end of this year. It is expected to be introduced into the domestic market early next year. At the same time, Jeep Wrangler 4xe will become FCA's first plug-in hybrid model in the US market.

Wrangler 4xe is not much different from the fuel version in appearance, and the charging port is arranged on the left fender. The representative "small schoolbag" spare tire of the Wrangler family has been retained. At the same time, the tire pattern is larger and the off-road capability is worth looking forward to.

In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with a plug-in hybrid powertrain with a 2.0T turbocharged engine and electric motor. The battery electric cruising range is expected to reach 31 miles. Like other Jeep models, the new car will be produced at the Toledo plant in Ohio, USA.

Currently, the Jeep Guide 4xe and Jeep Renegade 4xe models have been sold in Europe. By 2022, FCA is expected to have 30 NEV models on sale.
