China FAW produced 341,323 vehicles in October, up 12% YoY

It is reported that China FAW produced 341,323 vehicles in October, a year-on-year increase of 12.0%. In October, 354,504 new cars were sold, a year-on-year increase of 6.8%.

Autonomous passenger vehicles produced 2,979,465 vehicles from January to October, a year-on-year increase of 9.7%. A total of 3,011,248 vehicles were sold, an increase of 7.8% year-on-year. Specifically, the Hongqi brand produced 19,837 vehicles in October, an increase of 86.0% year-on-year. 23,018 vehicles were sold, a year-on-year increase of 93.6%. From January to October, 153,109 vehicles were sold, a year-on-year increase of 102.7%. The Bestune brand produced 3,358 complete vehicles in October and sold 4,931 complete vehicles.

In the joint venture segment, FAW-Volkswagen produced 206,019 vehicles in October, a year-on-year increase of 14.4%. 220,574 vehicles were sold, a year-on-year increase of 5.6%. FAW Toyota produced 65,935 vehicles in October, a year-on-year increase of 5.4%. 65,057 complete vehicles were sold, an increase of 6.6% year-on-year. FAW Mazda produced 7,088 completed vehicles in October and sold 5,007 completed vehicles.

In the commercial vehicle segment, the Jiefang brand produced nearly 38,000 vehicles in October, a year-on-year increase of over 32%. Nearly 35,000 completed vehicles were sold, a year-on-year increase of nearly 20%. From January to October, sales of nearly 439,000 completed vehicles, an increase of nearly 44% year-on-year, continued to maintain its leading position in the medium and heavy truck market.
