IIA learned that Tesla opened 60 Supercharger stations in 37 cities across the country in November, with a total of 517 supercharger stations. Currently, Tesla has more than 20,000 super charging piles worldwide. As of the end of November, Tesla has built more than 500 super charging stations and 718 destination charging stations in mainland China, covering more than 270 cities.
Taking Model 3 as an example, charging Model 3 at the V3 super charging station for 15 minutes can supplement the cruising range of more than 200km. The biggest difference between the V3 super charging station and the V2 and V1 charging stations is that the V3 super charging pile adopts a new liquid-cooled wire and charging plug. The V3 charging pile using new power electronic components can be more efficiently cooled with better cooling effect. The high current charges the vehicle, thereby further shortening the charging time.
In addition to the increase in charging power, the liquid-cooled cables of the V3 super charging pile have also been optimized. Compared with the wires of the V2 Super Charging Pile, the liquid-cooled wires of the V3 Super Charging Pile are two-thirds smaller in diameter, and the weight is greatly reduced.
