IIA learned that the first batch of SAIC-GM-Wuling Baojun 530 global vehicles exported to Mexico rolled off the production line at the Baojun base. These products will be shipped through Guangzhou Port. This is also the first time that Baojun 530 global vehicles have been exported to Mexico. At the same time, the continued hot sales of the Baojun 510 global car in Chile has allowed SAIC-GM-Wuling to accelerate the production of global vehicles.
It is reported that the first order of 500 Baojun 530 global vehicles exported to Mexico will be shipped in January next year. Judging from the current order situation and market prospects, Mexico is expected to become the future largest export market for Baojun 530 global vehicles. Up to now, the Baojun 530 global car has been successfully exported to 21 countries, and the cumulative export has reached 96,584 units/set since it was put into overseas markets in 2019.
The Baojun 530 global car was shipped to the Middle East market by ro-ro ship at Nansha Port of Guangzhou Port, becoming the first batch of cars exported through Nansha Port. As SAIC-GM-Wuling’s first global strategic model for overseas markets, the Baojun 530 global car was exported to the Middle East for the first time in February 2020, effectively enhancing the international status of Chinese cars.
SAIC-GM-Wuling continues to explore new overseas markets. In October this year, the Baojun 510 global car entered the Chilean market, and the first 500 pre-sale orders were sold out within 20 days. Cumulative orders for the Chilean market have increased by 1,487 units, an increase of 240% over the pre-launch period. In the future, the Baojun 510 global car will also be launched in South American countries such as Peru and Ecuador, and exported to North America, the Middle East and Africa.
