BYD sold 56,322 vehicles in December, up 30.44% YoY

IIA learned that BYD’s sales volume in December 2020 was 56,322, a year-on-year increase of 30.44%. In 2020, sales totaled 426,972 units.

BYD’s annual sales of new energy vehicles were 189,689 units, and the annual sales of fuel vehicles were 237,283 units, a year-on-year increase of 2.32%. In addition, the brand's December sales of new energy vehicles were 28,841 units, an increase of 120% year-on-year, and the December sales of fuel vehicles were 27,481 units.

BEV were sold 19,482 units in December and 130,970 units for the year. PHEV were sold 19,482 units in December and 48,084 units for the year. In terms of fuel vehicles, sedans were sold 4,507 cars in December and 39,575 cars for the year. SUV models were sold 20,504 units in December, and the annual sales volume was 174,298 units. In December, sales of MPV models amounted to 2,470 units, and annual sales were 23,410 units. For commercial vehicles, 1,247 units were sold in December.
