IIA learned that BYD's sales of all models in January were 42,094 units, an increase of 68% year-on-year. In January, sales of new energy vehicles were 19,871 units, an increase of 183.1% year-on-year. The cumulative total production of new energy vehicles has exceeded 930,000 units, and the sales volume has ranked first in the country for eight consecutive years.
Specifically, BYD Han sold 12,103 vehicles in January, breaking 10,000 sales for three consecutive months. BYD Tang family sold 2,552 vehicles in January, and the cumulative sales exceeded 230,000 units. Among them, the new-generation Tang EV increased by 251.3% month-on-month and 1097.7% year-on-year.
The BYD Song family was sold 16,682 vehicles in January, with cumulative sales exceeding 860,000. Among them, Song MAX DM increased by 312.8% year-on-year. The Qin family sold 3,929 units in January, and the cumulative sales exceeded 310,000 units. The Qin Pro fuel model increased by 139.6% year-on-year. BYD's e-series sales of 1,449 units in January, of which e3 increased 11.3% month-on-month and 60.7% year-on-year.
