Former Denza Executive Zhao Changjiang Reportedly Joins Zhiji, Hails V9 as "Unrivaled for Three Years"

On January 9, Yu Chengdong announced that the Harmony Intelligent Mobility's first flagship MPV, the Luxeed V9, will debut this spring. Zhao Changjiang, former general manager of BYD’s Denza brand, immediately reposted the announcement and teased the vehicle, calling it a model that “raises the ceiling of industry imagination” and bluntly stating, “Conservatively speaking, it won’t have any rivals for the next three years.” Notably, Zhao’s Weibo IP address shows Anhui province—the home of Chery, which co-developed the Luxeed brand with Huawei in Wuhu, Anhui—prompting online speculation that he has already joined Luxeed as its marketing general manager. Although media reports previously claimed he had joined Luxeed, Zhao only responded with “still on vacation,” without explicitly denying the rumors. The Luxeed V9 is a plug-in extended-range hybrid, seven-seat MPV exceeding 5.3 meters in length, equipped with CATL batteries, and will expand Luxeed’s current product lineup of the R7 and S7 models.
