Honda HRC Unveils High-Performance Civic Type R and Prelude Concept Cars

On January 9, Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) officially unveiled two high-performance concept cars: the Civic Type R HRC Concept and the Prelude HRC Concept. The Civic Type R–based HRC concept made its debut wrapped in camouflage, indicating it is currently in an intensive development phase. It will undergo track-focused tuning to further enhance driving dynamics and deliver a more race-inspired experience. As a key component of Honda’s sports car revival strategy, the Prelude also received an HRC variant. Although the standard Prelude has garnered only modest market response, this HRC concept features exclusive performance upgrades aimed at sharpening handling and boosting speed capabilities to reestablish its sporty identity.
