SAIC Volkswagen's all-new flagship SUV, the ID. ERA 9X, has recently appeared in the MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) application catalog, revealing its exterior details. With a length of 5,207 mm, it is the largest SUV ever launched under the Volkswagen brand, featuring a wheelbase of 3,070 mm and a spacious six-seat layout. Exterior-wise, the A, B, C, and D pillars are flush with the body, complemented by hidden door handles and a full-width "Cosmic Light Wing" light bar. Both front and rear lighting units follow the minimalist digital design language of the Volkswagen ID. family. Powering the vehicle is a 1.5T range extender (maximum output: 105 kW) paired with a 65.2 kWh battery pack, delivering a CLTC-rated all-electric range exceeding 400 km—offering both long-distance driving capability and an engaging electric driving experience.
