Italian design firm Italdesign unveiled the NSX Tribute special edition at the Tokyo Auto Salon, with official endorsement from Honda. Based on the second-generation NSX produced between 2016 and 2022 (right-hand-drive models only), the car is not a traditional "restomod" but rather a modern reinterpretation infused with iconic design cues from the original NSX. Exterior highlights include a roof-mounted air intake paying homage to the NSX-R GT, a retro-style rear wing, and red Honda emblems and wheel center caps symbolizing the NSX-R. While pop-up headlights couldn't be replicated due to regulatory constraints, the front lights feature an "eyelid" design that captures their spirit. The interior remains largely unchanged from the original, offering only a selection of upgraded material options and an exclusive plaque on the passenger-side dashboard. Italdesign has not disclosed exact production numbers, describing the model merely as an "ultra-limited series." Having previously collaborated with Nissan on the GT-R50, Italdesign is expected to price the NSX Tribute at a similarly premium level.
