Volkswagen (China) Sales Co., Ltd. has announced a recall of certain imported Bentley Bentayga Plug-in Hybrid vehicles. According to the recall plan filed with China's State Administration for Market Regulation (Recall No. S2026M0006V), starting January 26, 2026, a total of 64 units of 2023–2024 model year Bentley Bentayga Plug-in Hybrid vehicles produced between March 7, 2023, and November 27, 2023, will be recalled. The recall is due to a potential internal fault in the vehicle’s high-voltage traction battery, which could damage the cell separator and lead to an internal short circuit. In extreme cases, this may cause the battery to overheat or even catch fire, posing a safety hazard.
