On January 10, Buick launched the E7, the first SUV in its Zhi Jing (Zhijing) series, accelerating joint-venture brands' expansion into the new energy vehicle market. Built on the Ultium platform, the E7 is a midsize SUV measuring 4,850 mm in length, 1,910 mm in width, and 1,676 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm. It carries forward Buick’s “Wing Elements” design language, featuring split headlights and a shark-inspired front fascia. While interior details have not yet been revealed, it is expected to follow the minimalist, tech-forward style of the Zhijing L7, equipped with a floating instrument cluster, a central touchscreen, and an AR-HUD. In terms of intelligent driving, the E7 is equipped with the “Xiaoyao Smart Drive” LiDAR system, powered by Momenta’s R6 large model, enabling full-scenario driver assistance. The chassis features a preview-enabled RTD continuous damping suspension system for enhanced ride comfort. Powering the vehicle is the “Zhenlong Plug-in Hybrid Pro” system, combining a 1.5T engine with an electric motor, delivering a CLTC-rated all-electric range of 210 km and a combined range exceeding 1,600 km.
