On January 10, BAIC BluePark announced at its "Smart Mobility Tech Day" that the Arcfox Alpha S (L3 version) has officially commenced large-scale pilot operations on public roads. The first batch of vehicles will operate on designated sections of the Jing-Tai Expressway, Airport North Line Expressway, and Daxing Airport Expressway. As one of China’s earliest automakers to invest in autonomous driving, BAIC has achieved full coverage of Level 2 to Level 4 autonomous technologies and launched its premium intelligent connectivity platform, "MetaVerse Intelligence," featuring a "fully redundant safety architecture" and a "One-Core-Three-Rings" safety assurance mechanism. The pilot program adopts a "B2B-first, gradual public rollout" strategy. Following further policy refinements, BAIC plans to open the service to individual users starting in Q2 2026. In the future, the company will introduce more premium models equipped with L3 technology to accelerate the commercialization of autonomous driving.
