On January 19, Apollo Go announced a partnership with UAE-based autonomous driving company AutoGo to officially launch commercial fully driverless operations open to the public on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. Local residents and tourists can hail Apollo Go’s sixth-generation autonomous vehicles via the AutoGo app. The service area includes popular attractions such as Ferrari World and Warner Bros. World, aiming to enhance smart mobility and tourism experiences. Since entering Abu Dhabi in March 2025, Apollo Go swiftly completed fully driverless testing on public roads and obtained the emirate’s first commercial fully driverless operation permit in November 2025. The company plans to deploy hundreds of vehicles by 2026, establishing the largest autonomous fleet in the region. Additionally, Apollo Go has partnered with Lyft to launch autonomous ride-hailing services in Germany and the UK in 2026, with a goal of deploying thousands of vehicles across Europe. As of the end of October 2025, Apollo Go has expanded to 22 cities worldwide, having fulfilled over 17 million rides.
