On January 20, a traffic accident occurred on a highway in Jiangxi Province. A Fangcheng Bao T7 was traveling at over 100 km/h when the truck ahead suddenly braked, slowing down to 70 km/h. The T7 then collided with and slid underneath the rear of the truck. Photos from the scene show the T7’s front end embedded beneath the truck’s chassis, with clear impact marks on the right side. However, the vehicle’s A-pillar remained undeformed, its body structure stayed intact, and the driver sustained no injuries. As a mid-to-large plug-in hybrid SUV under BYD, the T7 features a “7x9” high-strength body structure, with 22.8% hot-stamped steel and 78.4% high-strength steel. It is equipped with 9–10 airbags and BYD’s L2-level DiPilot advanced driver-assistance system. The all-wheel-drive version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and offers a CLTC pure-electric range of up to 200 km. Since its launch, the T7 has achieved monthly sales of 34,000 units in December, with an average transaction price exceeding RMB 200,000. This incident further demonstrates the vehicle’s outstanding safety performance.
